1 - New Years Eve Casino VIP Event...
600 casino VIP members were invited to this spectacular BEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES themed
New Years Eve bash. The decor and lighting incorporated four decades of styles based on
the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties. The venue was split into these four areas and
each are had its own distinctive
event decor and lighting.
Some of our amazing concepts included:
Giant light columns in the foyer, laser and animated starcloth entrance tunnel, stage LED
starcloth and neon effect sign, sixties psychedelic projections onto giant ceiling balls, disco
inferno flame light centrepieces and projections,
eighties illuminated disco ball centrepieces,
super star light chandeliers, glitzy table lamps, funky glow balls, etc, etc....
The General Manager of the Casino gave a welcome speech to the guests and commented that this was the best event decor and lighting they had ever seen in the casino.
2 - Awards Evening Dinner for AJAX Cape Town FC...
We created this modern and stylish event for Premier League soccer team AJAX Cape Town.
Soccer stars, celebrities and guests gathered for this annual special awards event.
The venue was The Rotunda in Camps Bay. The THATS AMAZING team transformed this venue
with some new and exciting lighting and decor. The venue had not seen anything like it before.
The very high domed ceiling was filled with 4 meter diameter star lights. We created
a beautiful stage with lots of lighting effects. The main colours used were warm tones of red
orange and yellow. Each table had a custom illuminated table centrepiece.
We also decorated other parts of the venue including a spectacular tusk light and
LED red carpet entrance and around the venue was decorated with lots of small cone
lights lit in red and yellow.We provided lighting for the main entrance
as well as the foyer.
3 - Vegas Nights Themed Year End Function...
We totally transformed the restaurant at Vrede En Lust Wine Farm near Cape Town into a
funky Las Vegas casino. We used lots of lighting effects to create an impressive event setting
just like they do in Las Vegas.
The venue had four areas which were distinctly different. The outdoor area at the front
of the venue was lit with giant 5 meter high cone lights which lit the whole building in an
electric blue colour. The inside of the venue was split into three areas, an open plan dance
area, a lounge and the gaming area. Each area used different lighting effects.
The gaming area had a LED red carpet and cone light entrance, so you felt you were going
into something special. The whole gaming floor was surrounded by a twinkling LED starcloth
with a bright neon effect LED sign. We used other lighting effects such as a giant mirrorball
in the dance floor area, battery operated table lamps and funky disco mirrorballs.
4 - High Profile 21st Birthday Party...
As well our corporate events we do high profile exclusive birthday parties.
This venue was Le Avenir near Stellenbosch. We worked closely with our client on all
parts of the venue to design this spectacular lighting event. We looked at all areas of the
venue such as the ceiling, entrance, walls and deck to see what would work best in those
areas to create the best effect. The overall look was spectacular.
Our amazing LED dance floor kept guests dancing all night. The whole ceiling was covered
with a cloud projection. LED starcloth panels covered the walls. Guests entered through green
tusks and green LED Carpet. The outside deck was covered with a unique green LED
star canopy. Elegant battery operated table lamps lit the tables.
The theme was 'famous' where guests dressed up as their favourite pop stars, movie
stars, heroes, characters, etc. This was just another of our amazing successful events.
5 - Big Corporate Event at Ratanga Junction Cape Town...
This large venue with a very high and open ceiling was transformed with inflatable
lighting effects. Lots of huge lighting shapes were suspended in the big ceiling space.
The look was a spectacular sculptural lighting concept which filled the venue.
We also used tall floor standing inflatable lights around the venue which added to the
sculptural lighting concept. One impressive effect was an avenue of tall 5m high
cone lights which ran from the entrance to the dance floor area.
A set of giant inflatable spheres had a custom video projection which created an almost
3D effect. These impressive visuals were suspended over the dance floor.
We also used lots of battery operated lighting effects such as LED mirrorballs and
table lamps, which were conveniently placed around the venue.
6 - A NIGHT OF A THOUSAND STARS Matric Dance for Herschel School
This really was an incredible night of a thousand stars themed matric dance.
We transformed the sports hall into this spectacular event setting.
The stars effect was created with our unique LED starcloth draping and LED
star canopy. We covered the walls and ceiling with this amazing stars at night effect.
The whole venue was surrounded by literally thousands of bright LED stars.
This event was a huge WOW factor and guests had never seen anything like it.
Our amazing LED star canopy which covered the whole ceiling is a three
dimensional effect. It has depth as the LEDs hang down from the ceiling at different
height and intervals. You can literally look into the vast star scape and see the depth.
As they say at our events... THATS AMAZING.
7 - Gala Cocktail Event for OPSC (Government Department)...
Delegates gathered at The Table Bay Hotel at The Cape Town Waterfront for a two
day conference. We were asked to supply all the decor and lighting for the conference
and both evening events. This video is the gala dinner which was in the Pavilion Room.
We created this contemporary event with the use of our unique range of lighting
effects. The function was a formal cocktail event so we went for this modern look.
We used pastel colours in the lighting to create a warm and sophisticated look.
The whole room glowed in soft pastel tones while ceiling lighting shapes filled the
air and elements of fire were placed across sight lines to create a visual effect.
This slick event caused a sensation at the Table Bay Hotel. The General Manager came into
the venue especially to see the transformation. He commented that they had never
seen anything like this and it was great this stuff was now available in South Africa.
